Who doesn’t love a hearty bowl of warm chili and a cool day?

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs grass fed beef or 1 lb beef and 1 lb turkey

  • 1 lb Italian sausage

  • 1/2 lb sugar free bacon

  • 2 (28 oz.) Fire Roasted diced tomatoes

  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste

  • 1/2 large yellow onion chopped

  • 1 Red Bell Pepper chopped

  • 2 cups of beef broth or stock

  • 2 Tbs bone broth (optional)

  • 1 Tbs minced garlic

  • 1 1/2 Tbs dried oregano

  • 1 Tbs ground cumin

  • 1 Tbs paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

1. Heat large stock pot over medium heat. Brown beef, turkey and sausage. Drain excess grease.

2. In a different pan, cook bacon until crispy. Crumble and add to the stock pot.

3. Add chopped onion and pepper to bacon fat and simmer for 5-10 minutes until onions are translucent. Add to stock pot.

4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste and beef stock to stock pot.

5. Add seasonings and stir. Simmer on low for 30-60 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer the chili simmers, the butter it will taste.
