Montreal Steak Seasoning

I’ve been eating clean now for over a year and one of the areas I have really expanded my knowledge in and can now say I’m enjoying is the world of spices. My pallet has changed after I cut the garbage out of my diet. Foods taste better and fruits are sweeter. Wow, spices can really add to the flavor, aroma and experience of food. A lot of the prepackaged spices have added ingredients and hidden sugars, so I have learned to make my own. I discovered this Montreal Steak Seasoning Recipe when I came across a rub for pork chops, but now I use it in so many different recipes. Make a large batch, store it in a glass container or better yet use an empty spice bottle and relabel. Whether its chicken, steak, pork, shrimp, vegetables, burgers, fish I hope you enjoy the added flavor and experience an entire new taste as your palette changes.

Montreal Steak Seasoning:

2 Tablespoons Paprika, 2 Tablespoons freshly ground black pepper, 1 Tablespoon kosher/coarse salt, 1 Tablespoon garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon onion powder, 1 Tablespoon coriander, 1 Tablespoon Dill, ½ Tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes.

Mix all the spices together and store in an airtight container. This will make a large batch that you will have prepared and ready to go for the next time!
